Not a major surprise, but Cal has offered Woodcreek/PHPS 2018 PF Jordan Brown.

It surprises me there aren't about 10 colleges on that list. Maybe they just hold off because of grade but this kid will be able to go anywhere.

I was on campus the other day, and CAL has some major improvements in the works at HAAS. Big time scoreboard and sound system going in. That will be a great environment for future recruits.

jordan brown unofficially visited berkeley last sunday & watched the bears practice in preparation for their current australia trip

jordan got a 3.8 gpa as a freshman at woodcreek high school, he's not a dumb azz...he's also got offers from academically mediocre arizona & ucla

UCLA and Arizona aren't mediocre... maybe not quite as high on the academics rankings lists as Berkeley, but both are pretty high up there.

Instead of looking down at others below you on the list, you should try looking up and see what you can do to improve, Cal... and maybe catch up with Stanford. :)

kiddman, nobody said ucla is academically mediocre, it's a good school

arizona has a 95% acceptance rate, yeah, it's an academically mediocre school

cal is the #3 ranked university in the world, ahead of stanford in the current rankings...i dunno maybe you're thinking of a couple decades ago in comparing cal & stanford

So far as rankings of Cal v. Stanford...

On that list, the first one I pulled up just now, Stanford is #4 and Cal is #20.

Stanford #2, Cal #4.

Stanford #3, Cal #35.

Stanford ahead of Cal here, too.

UCLA not far behind Cal on any of these lists, and I think UCLA was ahead of Cal on one of 'em. I don't remember for sure, because that wasn't specifically what I was looking for at the time I looked at these.

My top link is also from that usnews college rankings site... They contradict themselves. I wouldn't even count that one anymore.
So, I have three other links with rankings where Stanford is above Cal. You have none.

I win.

BTW, I am NOT a Stanford fan or graduate... Not really a Berzerkeley fan, either... But I will root for the Bears while Rabb is there, as I did when J Kidd was there.

Except for when they face my Bruins.

kiddman, fair enough, glad to hear you will root for ivan, he's a special young man is ways that extend far beyond playing basketball with a basketball on a basketball court
