I heard Sheldon beat Modesto Christian by 10 in the championship game of the Championship bracket. Any other good games today?

Overall another great tourney, by far my favorite of the year. Here is my take on this years event and please keep in mind, some schools were missing key players but I am just commenting on what I saw.

- Sheldon is back, they are the real deal and Joey is coaching them nicely.
- El Cerrito is a lot of hype and we need to see them back it up, did not show nicely here.
- Modesto Christian will be in the mix again at the end of the year.
- DLS returns everyone just about but still lack size and an inside presence, might be their downfall.
- Rio Linda & Cal High might be the 2 worst teams I saw all weekend.
- Monte Vista was competing and playing hard.
- Dublin, they seem to bitch, moan and complain rather then play, let's see if they can figure things out.
- St Mary's of Berkley, Freedom, Newark & Salesian, are all well coached and play hard.
- Mitty, Bellarmine, Albany, Dougherty, Sacred Heart & Merrill West got my attention.
- Both Clovis West & North are really good and showed well here, glad to have had a chance to see them play.
- San Ramon, I think they brought their JV team.
- Foothill's new coach has them playing and competing, scores might not show it but there is a purpose and a plan.
- Campo struggled early with the loss of a few players but showed well on Sunday.
- Franklin was disappointing, a ton of players but they don't compete and play as a team.

PD, overall good assessment. Teams with their new coaches such as DLS, Franklin will take àwhile to learn new system. DLS I think won the Gold bracket. Modesto Christian and Mitty are very good with their bigs. Mitty big needs to stay in control of his emotions... Affected team late versus MC as coach had to discipline him and he didn't play last 8-10 minutes of game or overtime.. Sheldon guards are very good and shoot the ball well. Salesian guards will be very good. Newark still very disciplined and will be competitive. Didn't see to many outstanding bigs.
