NCP Pick'em Week 3 Games

Since Downey is in the Pick ‘Em this week, I’ll drop this article about the trick play they executed (years ago) that went viral across social media this week.

Downey’s coach, Jeremy Plaa, calls that play “vomit.”
10. Cardinal Newman
9. VC
8. Del Oro
7. Downey
6. Inderkum
5. St. Francis
4. De La Salle (27-13)
3. Salesian
2. Liberty
1. Truckee

Ricky Pearsall shot during robbery attempt

The perp 17 is being charged as a minor and will be out by 25 years old. If as reported the perp was a Norteno it seems that is lenient to me. Not much a deterrence to gang violence.

As far as SF - SF gov seemed to clean up major parts of the city (homeless, garbage, trafficking in some areas) about a year ago prior to Dreamforce after Benioff threatened he would move the lucrative tech conference out of SF like the others lost. However, there is way more to do as far as bringing back lost businesses and commercial tenancy and also with crime and the homeless. Still had to avoid human feces on the sidewalk on my way to BART after a recent Giants weekend game.

Prolific has a 2027 kid named Obinna Ekezie who played his last season for Napa Christian, but will most likely play on Prolific National this year. Hes very good and one could argue he is the best big in the Bay Area right now. 6’11 and still growing, remind me a lot of Evan Mobley.

Non Prep, can’t go wrong with Riordans Nes Emeneke, who should be a huge problem this season for most teams, if he can stay healthy.

Two Bay P’s face off MLB

Todays starters for Sox @ O’s was a fun matchup: Flexen (NM) and Burnes (SMC.) 1315.2 was a teammate and opponent- former and latter. Not quite like Tellez throwing for the Pirates last week!
Lots of BA connections…
Yeah was watching a little of this series. Alot of Northbay connections with Vaughn (Maria Carrillo) Brandon Hyde (Montgomery) and TIm Cossins (Santa Rosa High).

NCP Pick'em Week 3 Games

6-Inderkum at Grant- Tigers looking good. showed they can win on the road. Pacers at home need a big air game.
8-Cardinal Newman at Vacaville- Cardinals can score and have a chance to add a quality road win. Tigers play another week with a team ranked higher.
Placer at 5-Del Oro- Golden Eagles at home opener. Hillmen could be stubborn.
3-Downey at Merced- Knights can throw, Merced had problems versus Patterson. Bears lose home opener.
Serra at 1-De La Salle-3 in a row is hard. DLS looked great vs. Grant. DLS has the home field advantage. Edge goes to Sparti in Concord. 31-26
Liberty at 4- Los Gatos-Wildcats are home after a defensive battle vs. Soquel. Liberty took down Frontier who traveled back up the 99. I like Cats ability to comeback on the road.
McClymonds at 9-St. Francis- Lancers at home, after Helix and McClymond's using a lot of energy in an epic loss to Riordan.
Salesian at 7-Moreau Catholic-Mariners are up against the Pride. MC trying to go 2-0 with more home cooking.
Salinas at 10-Valley Christian-Warriors showing some Moxy on the road at Wilcox. Cowboys' tough opener on the road.
2-St. Vincent at Truckee-This will be a battle in Truckee. The Wolverines and the Mustangs are defending State champions. Make the drive count from Petaluma!

Indiana Fever Playing much Better

craps table was not nice to me.. but i need to learn to walk away. lollll... and SC defense finally tackled well although that soft zone need some work. allegiant stadium set the attendance record and the atmosphere was electric. what a game
Yeah that soft zone was driving me crazy!! Gotta tighten that approach up. I don't gamble and if it do it's with a "fun money" budget. No expectations.

Unless we are talking about somebody else the big kid from Granada is really a nice role player but any sort of pro talk is a far reach to me. Maybe 15-20 years ago when bigs were different but he's not a face up guy with ball skills. Doesn't mean he won't be a solid player for St Mary's but the above list of kids are on such a diff level.

WCAL 2024-25 SEASON

The various preseason predictions had Serra somewhere between #1 and #3. Based on Friday's performance, Serra probably won't skip a beat and is still the team to best. And it appears Riordan may need some time to get their talent to perform well together. St. Francis is usually good and this year they won't disappoint.

I agree with your new possible ranking. Right now, this is my ranking.

1. Serra - (Their new era system apparently works without lots of proven D1 talent)
2. St. Francis - (Looking to regain their previous clout of being the first NorCal team in the modern era to beat DLS)
3. Riordan - (Their D1 laden team has a lot to prove)
4. St. Ignatius - (Working hard to reclaim the King of SF Football title)
5. Valley Christian - (The old-styled offense doesn't match well with newer systems but their defense keeps the game close)
6. Mitty - (Generally in the middle-of-the-WCAL-pack team that is struggling)
7. Sacred Heart Cathedral - (Has proven they can compete if they have the talent)
7. Bellarmine (Suffering with their school demographics similarly to the two other San Jose schools.)
Great 1st week analysis FBAddict! We hope to upset a few teams to climb out of that 4th place spot.

Welcome to Folsom

I only saw the 4th quarter of this game, and didn’t see any talent disparity at that time. I did see the boffo onside kick coverage by Folsom that gave Serra the ball back. But I saw Serra running the football very effectively, controlling the quarter, and keeping Lyons in check.Whatever talent advantage Folsom supposedly had, it wasn’t manifesting itself at all
"IF" Folsom had Sharma I think he would have been a problem for Serra. Otherwise pretty much even.

what i meant was improved in high school where he would be a lottery pick after his freshman year of college. he and jalen pretty much are on the same level at this point but mckee is taller. both were really big and limited athletically very early. the diffference is mckee will learn in college and if jalen goes undrafted he will learn in the pros somewhere.
Plus McKeever will have a college education to fall back on in the likely event pro basketball doesn’t work out.

Granada kid didn't improve? If you're talking about McKeever, I'd say that's far from correct.

He added more things to his game every year, took a redshirt year, and will start playing at SMC this season, so hasn't had a chance to show what he's got yet. I do know he's a legit 7'2" now, also.
