Very Early Look at the CIF Bowl Divisions - 2024

Yeah I think if Pitt were to beat DLS, they would be the Open rep. DLS would then drop down to a lower bowl division, unless CN knocks them off!
Ironically CN stopped the original streak that DLS had back prior to the one that started in 1992. And in 1991 Newman lost in the 3A semi's to Pittsburg who then went on to beat DLS at the Oak Coliseum the next weekend. You never know..... But we got MC first and those bastards are good.

I don't disagree on the open winner. I do think there would be a lot more hype with Folsom and their 5 star QB playing against MD.

PCAL Playoffs Week 1

My understanding is Monterey QB I is still out, Soph QB going to start, but there is also a Freshman QB that impressed, and he may get some reps as well.
Monterey has done a good job of switching offense to more run oriented while still trying to get ball into WR1 hands.

I believe most of the PCAL teams are "underdogs"

The ultimate sports nepo baby

Okay, my opinion regarding the part-timing was wrong... But I do still think Bronny is being babied too much and it ain't helping him.

But I'll stand by my other take about the Lakers trying to hang onto LeBron any way they can, including hanging on to Bronny when they could do better, and so could Bronny.
All that is probably accurate. And he won't get any better by not playing for sure. Buy yes, LeBron is averaging 24 and 10 at age 40.. so he definitely is worth the time bronny gets.

The ultimate sports nepo baby

Casual NBA fans...

Bronny is not on a 2-way he is on a NBA contract. This is not unusual for players to not play road games so they can be called to fill the roster spot of the NBA team in case of a late scratch. If the player were on the road in Rio grand Texas they wouldn't get back in time for the NBA game. The difference is, you don't know about it when it happens to Gui Santos because nobody cares about him.

The ultimate sports nepo baby

It's crazy... I honestly think if Bronny had needed to suffer the cuts and bruises of trying to make the league on his own without all the kid-gloves stuff, he might have gained the ability to actually stick with a team for good, at least as a backup/mop-up guy... eventually.

Instead, he's part-timing it in the G League and being treated as something special when he's just... NOT.

Of course, this has a TON to do with LeBron's expiring contract. The Lakers know that if Bronny isn't allowed to hang around, they have zero chance of re-signing Daddy. If the Lakers get Bronny sent to another organization, that's where LeBron will go, unless he just retires.

PCAL Playoffs Week 1

Palma and Hollister the only local teams you predicted to lose. You really are mad about Alvarez not making the playoffs over them 😂
That was pure coincidence, after I made all the picks I looked at that and I said somebody will call me out on that. I just did not like their particular match up. Obviously both teams are down form previous versions. Truth be told of the 11 games PCAL will be lucky if they go 6-5. (As opposed to the 9-2 I am predicting) 😂

The ultimate sports nepo baby

Has there ever been a bigger example of nepotism/privilege in the history of professional sports than Bronny James?

LeBron did his son no favors. In his selfishness to want to play with his son he has set his son up for quite possibly the most brutal fan interaction for any active athlete in the history of the NBA.

Instead of doing the right thing and being a good parent and encouraging Bronny to HAVE HIS OWN JOURNEY AND LIFE EXPERIENCES in college and then if he's ready after graduating to take his shot at the NBA, LBJ did the selfish thing....

I KNOW LeBron is a good dad, husband and family man..there are many examples of him being such.....BUT he really screwed the pooch on this one IMO.
Guru... It keeps growing on the scale. I haven't seen this level of nepo since Tommy Boy.
