    They use to play some of the Riordan - SHC - SI WCAL games there back in the 70s / 80s from what I have been told as the school gyms didn't have the requisite capacities. Not sure when they stopped hosting any of the in-city WCAL games there though.

    Thanks for all the updates KD32. Another season of high school basketball is in the books - it's time for all of us to find another hobby for six-eight months. KD32 make sure to change the oil in the car if you haven't already from all your travels over the past 4+ months.

    On the Riordan plus side - I thought that Zion played a really solid game especially given his early foul trouble. He played under control and was trying to settle everybody down when Salesian made their 2nd half run. Nes played really well and was a MAJOR factor on both ends - really hustling...

    A tale of two halves - RIordan was real good in the first and Salesian was very good in the second. Tough loss for the Crusaders - they had their chances but couldn't close it out. Kudos to Coach Mellis and the Pride for an incredible season so far and good luck against SoCal in the finals.

    Riordan definitely upped their intensity level tonight. Their length really bothered /altered quite a few Salesian shots in the first half. Salesian lucky to only be down by 8.

    That might explain why I wasn't able to buy tickets - sucks there will be lots of folks who wanted to go but were unable to get tickets. A bigger college facility like St Mary's would have been nice....

    Were you watching the first half by chance? Riordan players were a step slow especially in the first half - I know I need to give CN more credit as they were flying around but that that was my perception or opinion. Sounds like yours was different which is OK in my book to agree to disagree.

    As a Riordan fan I thought game should have been over by half-time. CN is well-coaching, shows a lot of hustle and moxie they were totally in a different weight class than Riordan. Frankly not sure how they beat Branson in last round. Semi-credit to CN for keeping it close in the first half...
