NorCal Regional Games by Sections
You really shouldnt include CCS performance here in comparison to other sections. They are the only section who send the 1st, 9th, 17th, 25th and 32nd place teams in the section to the regional games. I dont mind equity based bowl games, but CCS calling them section champs is kind of a joke. -

Who will be the 2022 NorCal Open Team?
It will depend on when/whom Serra loses to. If Serra loses a WCAL game but wins out and takes the Section championship, they would still be picked over Folsom because they beat them. If Serra loses in the playoffs, Folsom would be the front-runner. -

I found it interesting that the CCS was the one who asked the game to be moved due to SJCC requiring COVID vaccines although all the Bells home games were played there previously. I'm presuming this has something to do with generating more gate revenue? -

There is way too much concern over student population size. There are small schools that has a football culture and big schools that do not. The demographic make up is also often a bigger factor than the quantity of students. I seem to remember Mission SJ had over 2000 kids, yet only a dozen... -

The WCAL This Year
They do have a large student population, but it is getting tougher to get into the school, the demographic shift has been dramatic, and with pre-covid traffic, kids are switching to schools closer to them. They are just no longer getting the same quality of football talent as they used to. -

The shots are slowly becoming more available, and while we are on 1B, the reality is that many locations just do not have enough of the vaccines. My parents are in their 80s and have been trying to get the vaccine for the past month, and FINALLY got an appointment for their first shot next week... -

WCAL guys....
I would add that he completed his Ph.D. and is now Dr. Amanam. He was a fun kid to watch in high school. Single handed would take over games. Was always undersized for pro-opportunity, but one of the all-time great HS players to play in WCAL/CCS. -

California all state teams (preseason)
There are a lot of good TEs in CA. Kennedy is ranked about the same as Burnett who is a Jr. The kid from VC, Sam Roush, who is a Jr is ranked higher than both. -

FL has State Championships by School Enrollment Classification, where CA uses competitive equity and does not use enrollment. I have no issues with CA using the system, just they shouldnt be called titles or state champions. Outside of the Open, the rest should be simply labeled as CA Bowl... -
