FIRST TEAM
IVAN RABB, Bishop O'Dowd, forward, Sr. -- Rabb was the dominant player in East Bay high school basketball this season, and one of the top players in the nation. The 6-foot-11 Rabb averaged more than 20 points a game, along with 15 rebounds and five blocks a game. He scored the winning point and had 19 points and 21 rebounds in the Dragons' CIF Open Division state championship game.

PARIS AUSTIN, Bishop O'Dowd, guard, Sr. -- The Boise State-bound Austin averaged more than 19 points a game, including a game-high 21 points in O'Dowd's state title victory over Mater Dei-Santa Ana. The 5-11 Austin set school records for points (43) and 3-pointers (12) in a game.
OSCAR FRAYER, Moreau Catholic, forward, Jr. -- The Cal-bound Frayer averaged 17 points and eight rebounds a game for the Mariners, who reached the NorCal Open Division playoffs. The 6-foot-6 Frayer was the MVAL MVP.
CHRIS HANSEN, Campolindo, center, Sr. -- The UC San Diego-bound Hansen had an overwhelming season in leading the Cougars to the Division III state title game. The 6-7 Hansen averaged 25.5 points, 17.1 rebounds, six blocks, and four assists a game. The DFAL MVP also shot 67 percent from the field and 87 percent from the free-throw line.
STEFAN MITU, Monte Vista, guard, Sr. -- A co-MVP of the EBAL, Mitu led the Mustangs to the NCS Division I championship and a co-EBAL title. He averaged 19.5 points per game, sank 85 3-pointers and had 50 steals. The 6-1 Mitu averaged four rebounds a game.
KEITH SMITH, San Ramon Valley, guard, Sr. -- The 6-0 Smith's scoring average increased three points to 15 points per game during the postseason, as he quarterbacked the Wolves to the Division I state title. He scored a team-high 20 points and had 12 assists in the state championship game, and had a game-high 16 points and seven rebounds in the NorCal final. He averaged more than four assists per game.

COACH OF THE YEAR
Brian Botteen, San Ramon Valley -- The first-year coach, the Wolves' junior varsity coach for the previous seven years, guided San Ramon Valley to the CIF Division I state title. The Wolves finished third in the EBAL and lost to De La Salle in the NCS Division I semifinals but then caught fire in the NorCal playoffs. San Ramon Valley won by double-digits in its first two NorCal games before edging Woodcreek-Roseville 49-45 and outlasting Chino Hills 79-71 in two overtimes to win the program's first state championship.
