No cultural reason why it was given this name. The freshman game is called the peanut bowl. Been to one Almond Bowl and it is a pretty cool scene.

Hey HEAT, when last I signed in I saw streak had updated. Good game. I forgot how much I miss games where the both defense's show up. So many games any more are just track meets with pads on.

Not fields; but, orchards and last I heard there are still around 35,000 acres of almonds in and around Chico/Butte Co.

It felt electric tonight with the packed house! Congrats to PV on winning a really hard fought game.... I have a feeling both these teams will meet again at the section championship
