We are slowing getting started in the high school basketball season.

Antelope beat Roseville 86-36: Seniors Jzaniya Harriel (Stanford) had 35 points and Kaiija Lesane (Weber State) had 20 points. Freshman Samiya Dillard had 11 points. Antelope led 52-10 at the half.

Newark Memorial beat Washington (Fremont) 40-31 on Wednesday night. Senior Dana Prudente led the Cougars in scoring with 12-points.

One huge problem with spring hoops scores in 2021: Who knows who's playing these days? Lots of athletes are playing more than one sport at the same time. Something has to give. Hoops rosters feel the brunt just like every other sport. Oh, and then there's club ball. In some cases, for example, preps who headed to Arizona for a recent tourney are not being allowed to play for their high schools for 10 days at least in order to follow local covid protocols. It's a true "s-show" out there in double-dribble-ville.

Yes. With this and playoffs, it will be much tougher to gauge who are the top teams in each area.
 
I dont think travelers are required to quarantine anymore. However close contact tracing for exposure to someone who tested positive is real thing that affects these teams.
 
Some public school districts are extremely paranoid about out-of-state activities for their students. Hence the precautionary measures.

Half Moon Bay beat Carlmont 58-44: Abby Kennedy had 21 points for the Lady Cougars.

Granite Bay beat Whitney 46-45: It was the second win for Granite Bay over Whitney. The Grizzlies face Colfax on Wednesday.

Monte Vista beat California 60-34: Alexis Woodson had 24 points and Sarah Brans had 16 points. The Mustangs don’t have a senior on the roster.

On Monday, Logan beat Mission San Jose 61-47 behind 26 points and 20 rebounds from Aunkia Hornung.

Davis beat Franklin-Elk Grove 66-26 to improve to 11-5 (5-0 in the Delta League). Davis has a pair of 6-foot-0 freshman to keep an eye on in Schouten and Cordone.
