Does anybody have any word on statistics? It seems the Contra Coata times is slipping and not providing stats. Just wondering if anyone has any good stats from the weekend?
Just looking at what happened in the NCS during week 0 there are were some big stats put up over the weekend. The statistical showdown of the section started with Miramonte out lasting Pinole Valley 52-42. The 30 carry, 235 yard, 5 TD perfromance by PV's Troyante McConio wasn't enought to cover the unstopable Miramonte offense. Junior QB Tim Tague blew up with 473 yards on 27-44 passing with 7 TD's to 1 INT. Tague connected with former QB Sutter Lindberg for 11-278-5tds. With Ryan Anderson, another former athletic starter at QB moved to WR this group looks good. Mats LB McClain Marks also recorded the sections 2nd most recorded tacles at 13. As impressive as the Miramonte QB was he was edged out by Ft. Bragg Senior Kaylon Sullivan who turned heads witn an impressive 30 of 45 pasing for 492 yards 7 TD's and no interceptions.Does anybody have any word on statistics? Did anybody have a better night than Hunter Rodrigues from Whitney in a losing cause to Oak Ridge 57-55? 8 Touchdowns of which 7 were passing. 615 total yard of which 460 were threw the air. I was there. Somebody needs to look at this kid.
Great post! Thanks! The Contra Costa Times should hire you!Just looking at what happened in the NCS during week 0 there are were some big stats put up over the weekend. The NCS headliner would be Antioch Junior RB/ATH Najee Harris who didn't dissapoint with 15-187-2 rushing in a 62-7 blow out of Acalanes. Also in the BVAL, EBAL, DFAL region Pittsburg LB Charlie Ramierz dominated in a performance vs. section power house Cal High with 14 tkls and 4 tfl. Dougherty Valley Senior Trey Hoskins caught 3 early first half TD passes including a 93 yarder from RB Sam Tarasow who almost went for the 100 yard hat trick as he ran 14-116-2 and caught 4-189-2 and threw 1-1, 93-1... All together Tarasow accounted for 398 yds and 5 TD's. Monte Vista Junior DL Nate Landman lead the NCS with 3 sacks vs. Castro Valley and American of Fremont's Jared Luty recorded 2 INT's.
There also seems to be a nice connection between McKinleyvile Seniors QB Kyle Spalding and WR Noah Cutter-Richards who had 13-239-5td while the San Diego State commit Spalding (TE) threw for 323 yds and 6 TD's. All in all a pretty impressive staitstical week 0 for the NCS.

I heard back for Moreau Catholic ...Ison, ran for 300 vs St Marys. I was disappointed with lack of coverage by CC times as well.
