Mack is what inner city schools should strive to be. As for their football program it’s amazing they can play with the best even when suiting up 25 at best during the regular season! Although of those 25 a good chunk will play college ball.McClymonds vs. Long Beach Poly would be a game I’d love to see.
Poly, who has put out more NFL player of any High School in American History. Who was a player capable of tackling Devonte Booker away from winning the first ever open division crown. A school of 4,000 pupils…
vs.
“Mack”. The school of 383 student who started off at the small school division and beat the breaks off of everyone on the way to the top. The school who just a few years ago had 98% of their graduating class receiver guaranteed enrollment to a 4 year university.
Long Beach policy of stopping open enrollment transfer years ago within the district has hurt. Just changed thst last year. Also Negro capitalizing on the talent in the area for SJB. I actually used to think Lara was not a great coach, but really all he did was just win. Been a circus of coaches since he left.Mack is what inner city schools should strive to be. Poly is still good but it seems like they have been hit hard with the rise of the Trinity since 2014-15 or so. Speaking of down look at the LA section… transfers, as well as
Even the NCS D7 winner would most likely running clock Balboa. I want to see Fall River play NCS D7 or D6 and see how they matchup. U prep looks good, charter school with good sports for the Redding area, could be a future power? No private schools really in the NS.Teams already clinching a section title and bid for the RBG/SBG games. Any team can decline the RBG games and every year a couple teams do decline.
Balboa SFS (upset Lincoln for title)
Fall River NS D5
University Prep NS D4
and, shall I say it, the de facto victor of OS, Mack
I think the same too... However, I thought the same in 2019 when Lincoln SFS beat SJS D7 champ Mariposa County 21-14 and beat SoCal's LAS D3 champ Gardena 35-26.Even the NCS D7 winner would most likely running clock Balboa.
