Almost losing to a school no one has heard of. They can't shoot the ball in a ocean.

They have recruited athletes but they DO NOT have enough shot makers on that team.
Matthews is there only shooter. It is great to have brown and rabb but they are in
Dire need of perimeter shooting to help space the floor and give rabb some room
To work with in the post.

You got that right. I could see teams in the Pac 12 packing it in and giving them open three's. Bird needs more touches and has too good of a jumpshot not to score at least 20 tonight. If they don't shoot it from three it will be a loooonnnggg year.

I was watching that game thinking the same thing. Same team that Sac State beat the night before. Jordan Mathews has been consistently one of the best players on that team over the last few years and was the lowest of the recruits. CAL will get better but the expectations this year were not realistic. Rabb doesn't get enough touches and Brown gets too many. Rabb got another double double and he took 6 shots. Get the guy the ball.

Matthews is a coaches son, Phil has always had him shooting the rock. Although Wallace is good, he never was considered a shooter, even at Bakersfield. You guys are right Bird needs more shots. Brown is a great player, but someone needs to tell him or his camp the NBA Draft is not tomorrow. Rabb wakes up in the morning with a double, double. Give him the ball!!!!!!!.

Cal is easy to solve for the opposing team. Just go zone. They have no clue. The only guy they have really to dribble penetrate the zone is Brown and Coach Martin doesnt make the adjustment not to mention they have no true point guard on the team. Too bad they didnt make offer/get Jordan Ford. Wouldve been a nice fit for the Golden Bears.

I agree. Ford could have come in and played right away with his skill level now! Their pg is more of a combo type guard but his ball handling skills are suspect as well as his passing. They had easily over 20 turnovers from lazy passing.

Don't look for miracles. They could easily be middle of the PAC in conference this year. Wallace dominates the ball. Brown shot selection suspect. Bird not assertive enough. Rabb is good. Plays within himself.
