Just a heads up that on August 26, a week from this Saturday at 4:00pm this game will be broadcast live from San Luis Obispo on ESPNU. On my Comcast cable that's channel 788. This is a rare nationally televised game for either team and should be a good FCS matchup between two high academic standards programs.
This is an interesting matchup because Cal Poly has led the nation in rushing the past four years behind FCS All American RB Joe Protheroe from Clayton Valley. On the other side of the ball Colgate led the FCS last year in yards allowed rushing, giving up only 69 yards a game. Obviously, something has to give. Colgate features an FCS All American rush linebacker named Pat Afriyie.
