CIF State Bowl (2-AA): Del Oro 16 Camarillo 13 FINAL

And it think this goes a long way to the perceptions of both programs from the outside.

On a bigger scale /national level, DO is respected, F bomb is laughed at quite regularly.

This is quite true. From the outside (SoCal and out-of-state fans), Del Oro's name is much more respected than Folsom despite the Bulldogs success the past couple years. Much of that has to do with Del Oro's willingness to challenge themselves and the "perception" that Folsom does not. That's not my opinion, but certainly how the majority of outsiders see it.

The SoCaler's believe many of their PAC-5 programs would go 14-0 in the SJS if playing Folsom's schedules, specifically prior to re-joining the SFL. The fact that Del Oro, Granite Bay, and Grant Union consistently shows a willingness to play OOS programs (Alta, Bellevue, Punahou) and/or PAC-5 programs (Westlake, Oaks Christian, Notre Dame, POLY, Vista Murrieta, etc.) has garnered them a lot more respect.

I personally believe Folsom could represent quite well against OOS and PAC-5 talent and would like to see them do so to shut up the naysayers.

not sure why folsom takes so much heat for there scheduling they have dominated everyone in the sis these past years...you play to win and frankly i don't think taylor and richardson care hahahah. Second off i don't think theres teams that are itching to play folsom so its hard to schedule teams in the area and all the good teams are already in there league the sfl. It will be interesting in the sfl next year with del oro the predicted favor with lot of returners, rocklin probably won't be very good graduating almost everyone and the same with granite bay, oak ridge wont be that bad because they're sophomore class is pretty good. Folsom will be good with a young secondary this year that all be much better next year and they have a new quarterback that transfered from rocklin Evan Michalet who is supposed to be pretty good. Im already ready for the next season to start!

what Del Oro did is simple incredible 2-6 to state champ. That's a Rudy movie

Speaking of movies, here's a short video from Sacramento Bee paper, sums up the season and the day; team prayer by the CB's/Character Coach Greg Krieger, a local pastor and great man. Congrats to all the teams that played for a State champ Fri and Sat, and especially to all the Norcal victors. No doubt the Del Oro program heaps praise on the new CIF format, it allowed DO to compete and advance this year all the way to the big dance; and they brought it home. http://www.sacbee.com/sports/high-school/article50640670.html
