Next up, Cosumnes Oaks vs. Branson.
Cosumnes is 1-5, against what appears to be a reasonably tough schedule.
Branson is 2-2, with a loss by 10 to a strong St. Ignatius team and a 2-point loss to Montgomery, who is 7-2.
I’ll pick Branson to take this one, but CO is probably better than their record might indicate, and might be able to make it interesting.

#4 for Branson with a nice move and layup…. 47-46 Branson. 2 minutes left…Branson gets a stop, So does CO. Time out CO, 1:36 left, Branson leading 47-46.

Despite a TREMENDOUS move by CO’s #3 to get to the hole, Branson gets a stop, Branson time out, leading by one, 46 seconds left, 18 on the shot clock.
Branson gets two or three tries inside, ball is knocked loose in a wild sequence…. CO almost gets it twice, but can’t quite corral it. They are forced to foul…. 1 and 1, first one good, 2nd also. CO rushes downcourt, calls time out, 8 seonds left, down 49-46.
