CN got 1 turnover and scored off of it. Made the score 31-21 (misd 2 pt conversion) 6:44 left in game.
Onside was no good.....MC drove the field for a score with just over 2mins left. 38-21
CN fumble after pass reception....MC kneels on the ball game over.
38-21 final.
Damian Wallace Injury in the 1st period doomed CN.

the MC QB played great....he was on target with his passes and was his usual slippery self when no one was open....gaining big yardage on runs.
For CN to win they needed to outscore MC in a shootout....and without Wallace they had no chance.
MC deserving NCS champ
Sounds like Moreau gave them a better game than Newman. NCS D4 was possibly best division outside of 1. CVC eeks by Concord, Campo beats Analy, I dont think either of those teams beat Marin Catholic. Top4 in D4 were better than D2 and D3. 5-5 Odowd challenged top seed Campo and sounds like MC handled CN better than Clayton.

Terrible injury for Wallace. But unles he was gong to play on the O line and D line it doesn't matter. Said it all week, MC's line play was far superior and that is where this game was won.
Too bad knee injuries doom CN hoops team 2. Runattino and Wallace. What a bummer. Feel bad for those kids.
Sounds like MC was the best team though. Congrats. Great rivals and good luck against CC. Newman returns some studs and had great Jv and frosh class.

This is very debatable. The top 4 from D4 and D3 would all be close games but a healthy CVC beats all these teams. Campo or Analy would both give MC a game. D4 will have a hard time ever being this strong again.
MC will win D4 every year just as they would have won the last 5-6 years prior if they played in it. If anyone disagrees I'd love to hear which year they think they would't have won it. How many titles in a row do they need to win before they are forced to play up?
Not really that debatable actually Moreau smacked St Marys twice who handled BOD, BOD wouldn't even sniff Moreau this year. I don't think Rancho would have beaten Moreau either and already had a loss on the books to CN. Analy and Campo were the two quality teams in D3 but when DOD is your 4 seed your quality is has taken a step back sorry. Both MCs and CN will be good again next year so those are your likely top 3 seeds for next year in D4 still think better than anything D3 will present up top. CVC would be a tough out for MC healthy but what team is fully healthy right now? MC had their starting LBs from beginning season out for the year so yeah depth happens, right now I think MC takes CVC which is what you need to judge on. But can MC take out CC? Not so sure about that,but I'm hoping for an epic battle.
