From Wednesday, but Modesto Christian started off the Clovis West tournament with a win over Sanger. Jamari Phillips led the way with 24 points, Prince Oseya had a double-double with six blocks. Tonight, they play Clovis North.

Oakland Tech beat Clayton Valley Charter 57-56 to move to 4-0 heading into the Edison Stockton Classic.

Lincoln-Stockton beat Bear Creek 83-28

Ponderosa beat Vista del Lago 71-46: Casen Chaney had 12 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists.

Pondo is 5-0 and has 3 transfers not yet cleared. One is 6”5 athletic kid from OR who gives them more size. This is a team that has a chance to go very far in d3. They play Whitney sat and I expect them to win which will mean they have beat 3 SFL teams so far. Honestly at full strength I think the gap with Folsom is narrow and they would compete in that league for title this year. They will play some good teams down south over holidays but I could see them not losing to anybody else in schedule this year.
