This time from Prolific Prep to Southern California Academy (SCA).

I swear this has to be school number 7 or 8 for him.....must be a new record!

do they always chase the greener grass? I don’t get it. But I don’t blame the kids. It’s the vultures who prey on them.

if he pulled up to the stuart hall parking lot and said lets hoop... you sure would give him a jersey, your old locker and a curry jersey and say welcome aboard i am your biggest fan

Wow, 10 Schools. Doesn't matter for kids with his ability but I bet those transcripts are a hot mess

You bet your boots I would.

Btw 10 schools.....yeah that's crazy and extremely unfair for his parents/guardians to put him through at such a young age!

My guess is Ben Rosenbourough the Sacramento Kid joined and Dior knew some of his minutes would get cut, so he transferred.

According to his wikipedia page, Dior has played for 8 high schools. It lists 9 schools: Saugerites, IMG, Findlay Prep, Fairfax, Mayfair, Oak Hill, Centennial Corona, Prolific Prep, and SoCal Academy. I also recall he spent a few weeks at Hillcrest Prep, but not during the regular HS season. This has to be a record for a major recruit!

This is PRECISELY why I despise Prolific Pimp. The public schools MUST take in the individual (I'm not calling him a young man, because he's as far from that as possible), but Prolific Pimp took him in for ONE REASON ONLY. Now you can be certain that one of their CULT will say how they saw him as someone who just needed guidance and coaching, but that would be a CROCK.

The Pimpsters thought he would help them win games, nothing else. How sad that he departed for his TENTH basketball team. It isn't his tenth school because the bloodsuckers don't give a crap about education.

Any responsible team or school should tell him you are NOT playing period. Any college taking him would be showing themselves to be WHORES.

Let him go to Overtime Elite and stop the nonsense.

To set record straight. Dior was suspended for 2 weeks because of violation of team rules. When reinstated from suspension, he broke another program rule and was immediately removed from the program. We wish him well.

Turtle love will always just speak negative about our program. It is his mission. However, The comments about education are complete nonsense. Our past alumni and stories involving their educational successes from developing countries (or USA) are a reflection upon our excellent admin and teachers with Napa Christian. At anytime Our school admin has up to 12 alumni visiting each summer because this is where they feel at home and safe.

As for Dior and his past schools, we cannot comment. Dior was held accountable during his short time but it just didn’t work out for him. We wish him luck.

Because they lost DIor and needed another guard ASAP so they put the full court press on them. I remember when Saint Jeremy and Phil started PP they told everyone in the basketball community they would never take a player off a norcal high school team…..lol what a joke.

every kid doesnt have a 2 parent, white picket fence, rainbows and unicorns life. i give the kid credit. sounds like he has every reason to not actually be in school still. clearly something is lacking but his ambition to get to college is not one. he was offered a scholarship so he must at least be performing in school no matter the situations

Bullshit. He's been to TEN "schools". There's a reason I don't read the vast majority of your posts.

10 aint a lot for many kids. and i could not care less what you read. however reading about things you are not aware of help your knowledge.

A player like Dior has the opportunity to go to 10 different schools because he is talented. Coaches will always take chances on talent.

From an outside perspective, these moves seem like an overall negative for player growth and social growth and have been made in some part from bad advice either from Dior, people in his circle, coaches at these programs or a combination of the three.

Your statement here makes every post you input SUSPECT. Lol. Man please, there's obviously some issues here. Regardless of a kids talent, he needs to know how to conduct himself on and off the court. And its no fault on Prolific Prep at all. In my opinion they do a terrific job. I just wish they would go back to more training, like they did when they first began!

i never said there were not issues. however with said issues whatever they may be.... he has not quit, nor has many adults in his life. hundreds of kids quit after 1 high school.
he is talented and people will give him a chance if chances are warranted. that is what is supposed to happen. dont give up on kids.

Boy his transcripts must be a hot mess - how is he going to be eligible for the Ducks next year? Or does he just skip college and go straight to the G League?

Honestly you guys are giving this too much fuel.
Who cares. He’s obviously not going to pencil out. Focus on some of the kids playing for their local teams right now. Plenty of positive stories. Guys like this are a dime a dozen and sadly few ever pan out.

Relax TurtleHate. The only thing I've found suspect about AA is his takes on the warriors. I think he knew ayesha once upon a time. But he's right, nobody should ever give up on kids. Talent or not. Sometimes it's kids in Dior's situation who really need people to not give up on them.

@SF_Mikey if ignite will take him, he should go that route. College is always there. Shit, I got my degree at 30.

now that i seen the article that ayesha is for the streets i slide in the dm.
and yes, nobody should give up on kids. i speak from experience. i had some real hoodlums as teammates. dior is better at basketball than many people are better at anything. it is his sole talent possibly. so yes, someone should help him work out the other stuff.

why is it obvious? and what is pencil out? and why is his story not a 'positive?'

He already played in his first game for SCA......like literally a couple of days after transferring he is at the John Wall Invitational...playing for his new team. I know Prolific Guy likes to say they are staying amateur.....I think thats a huge mistake. I'm going to assume Dior took some goods for free, which isnt "allowed" at Prolific. But at Southern California Academy....probably 100% fine.

This new era of high school basketball is crazy to me. Not sure what to really think of it all. Other than no kid should go through 10 schools. Only positive is when he goes to the NBA he will likely be comfortable in whatever city he chooses. Its a shock to me he hasn't gone the OT Elite or G-League route already!

Not sure he is exactly one and done material (unlikely to be a 1st rounder in 2023), so the potential path would be like Daishen Nix, etc. OTE seems more attractive to those looking for multi-year options, but its credibility is still questionable. He probably goes to a foreign league (NBL?) or college.

SoCal Academy does have a Stanford commit, so the education portion might not be a total joke.

The kid is kinda smallish....but 6'3 for a guard is solid. I mean IMO hes a Josh Christopher-esque talent....probably get picked in the late first round. Gets some minutes, can score...but like Christopher leaves a lot to be desired on the defensive side of the ball.

I think he will be eligible for the 2023 draft and will be drafted late 1st round....maybe with a solid season at Oregon he gets some lottery chatter. But tons of red flags with this kid, and he hasn't even graduated high school yet.

He is 6-1 tops and very frail and thin. Literally nothing like Christopher.

It’s hard to tell if he’s trolling or has the absolute worst takes ever.

Christopher is listed at 6'3 215 lbs according to ESPN.com
Dior is listed at 6'3 180 lbs......

Christopher has gained like 15 LBS since joining the Rockets.
Once Dior is drafted same thing will hapen to him.

And look i'm not his biggest fan, not even close. I just think his journey is unique and should be documented as either an example of how not to do things.....or how to do things the new way in this new era of basketball.

There is just so much future money being dangled in front of young hoop prospects that it's no wonder we see aberrations like this case. He isn't alone. He won't be the last. The prospect of large dollars down the line is too much to resist.
