Heard that Asiasi will be playing come mid to late January. Once all his visits and football commitments are all done. DLS will contend for Open with him on floor.

They've been doing pretty well this year without him and I thought they were already on pace to contend for the Open, so it stands to reason they will be even deeper with his presence on the floor. He's a beast on the gridiron and the hardwood.

They will win the open if he plays and might win it anyway. You can't teach 6"5 270 with hands and speed. DLS is really good. Great if Asiasi plays.

Will be a tall order. Chino Hills just won the prestigious City of Palms tourney in Florida knocking off #1 in the country Monteverde Academy. Beat Patrick school 66-60 in the Ship. Also beat a very good Thomas Jefferson out of Brooklyn.

bench role player with a scoring punch. can guard 3 4 5 Coach kuhle will need his familiarity in guarding bigs. remember defensively schooled by coach Sullivan and Allocco. guarding marcus lee and rust of MV his freshman year. former AAU Teammates oscar frayer, solomon young and christian ellis are in the open pool this year.

I'm actually talking about DLS winning north open. I'm not making any state predictions yet. But isn't this the same chino hills team that lost to San Ramon Valley HS last year at HAAS? The answer is yes. DLS will be just fine. HS hoops is still a team game. You can line up AAU all star team and still get beat by overachieving system kids.

Interesting with this discussion of DLS and Chino Hills... They will be on the same floor (but not at the same time) in the MaxPreps Holiday Classic on Friday.

They are on opposite halves on the bracket, so the only way they meet is if they face each other in the finals (or 3rd-place game, or another place) on Wednesday. FWIW, Chino Hills is the #1 seed, and DLS is not seeded in the top 4, which is all they list.

All the tournament games will be available on The Cube.

Not sure how much basketball he's been playing last couple years but this is good news for Norcal hoops. Top 4 for the Open will must see TV.
