Possibly true, but i would wait a bit before I would make that evaluation based on one game. They did look much better in the second half. Its possible it took them that time to make an adjustment from jet lag. They looked very sluggish in that first half but seemed to shake it off in the second half. Lets wait and see how they play the next two games.
Traveling across the country does not lead to sparkling performances on arrival.
They didn’t look slow against Long Island Lutheran today. You might want to watch that game.

IMG got slapped around by Duncanville today. New Hope lost to Sierra canyon whom you did not mention and Bishop Macnamara has two losses greater than 10 points. Desoto made quick work of them last night. Don’t know how you are picking your list but I think your assessment on St Mary’s is wrong. BTW LIL was in the preseason top 25 on ESPN.

Long Island Lutherans two losses were to Top 25 teams with #2 Sidwell being one of those teams. In one poll I saw ESPN had Long Island ranked in the Top 25 preseason.

Losing to other Top 25 teams doesn't mean you weren't elite. It means they lost to a really good team or had a bad game. From what I see on the website for this tournament it's a lot of strong teams beating up on each other and trying to get better.

SMS is the only CA team on the schedule so I gotta give them kudos for showing up. SMS apparently had a bad game and still only lost to the #15 team in the nation by 14. That's not too bad.
There are plenty of elite teams outside of the "Top 25" rankings as well because some of those rankings have to do with how many power 5 kids a team has. Hopkins stays in the Top 10 rankings and who have we ever seen them play?
