2-AA state bowl will kick off around 4:00 PM. Points will come in fast to start off the weekend.

I think this will be the most competitive game of the five here at Sacramento State

Cajon drives into the redzone, but back to back sacks for Serra (last one caused a fumble) halts the drive. Serra ball on its own 35 with 910 left Q1

Delay of game and an illegal shift for Serra on first drive. Lot of late play changes

On 3rd and 8, Serra hits a RB screen to Kendrick for 14 yards to lead Cajon 7-0 with 558 left Q1. Serra ran out of the double wing on a handful of plays that drive.

Nico Rollandi intercepts a WR screen play to give Serra the ball on Cajon's 10 yard line.

Padres defense has forced two turnovers

After getting the ball on Cajon's 10 yard line, Serra misses a 33 yard FG. Serra leads 7-0 with 248 left Q1.

Jones and Nunn on the outside is a good matchup. Two big, college prospects having some fun

Cajon out-gained Serra 93-78 in Q1, but had the two turnovers to set up Serra.

Coker with a good run into Cajon territory, but Daniel Fortune just takes the ball from him for Serra's first turnover.

Serra's run game has been good thus far

Serra's defense is playing well. Keying on some of Cajon's staple plays. Serra winning on the line too

Serra holds on 4th and goal. Cajon goes to Joens on a jump ball and Nunn gets the pass deflection.

7-0 Serra with 703 left in Q2.

Bottari takes a huge hit and completes a pass to Kendrick for 41 yard pass. Add in a personal foul and the ball is on Cajon's 14 yard line.

Serra blanking a team that had put up absolutely ungodly #'s in previous weeks, this is what that tough preseason and WCAL grind prepares you for baby!

Cajon got into Serra's territory, but had their third turnover of the first half. With Serra getting the ball to start Q3, a score here would be massive

With the ball on Cajon's 24 yard line, Serra throws an interception and Cajon returns it to its own 46 yard line with 25 seconds left.

5 combined turnovers

Cajon completes a hail mary pass to Jones for a 48 yard touchdown on the final play of the half. Serra had four defenders in the area against Jones, but you can't scheme 6-foot-8.

Serra leads 14-7 at halftime

The first half Serra as a team was more physical.Cajon has some guys that don’t want to stick their head in there.

Serra

Running: 22-123
Passing: 10-12-117

Cajon

Running: 17-85
Passing 13-16-185

Turnovers have been key. Cajon has 3 and Serra has 2. Both teams have 7 points off turnovers.

Serra has six sacks, led by 2.5 from junior linebacker Edmond Lahlouh. He also has 3.5 tackles for loss

6 foot 8 receiver Jones works a miracle Hail Mary catch with 25 sec left at the half avoiding a shutout by the Padres. That's where height really matters!

Lots of needless personal foul/ unsportsmanlike penalties on Cajon - shows a lack of team discipline & coach needs to take control at the 1/2 [if he can].

Shame Serra got greedy end of 1rst 1/2 trying to get a 3rd score. Instead the INT backfired and now a 1-score game. Hopefully Serra's other big lineman can come back in 2nd 1/2 - they can ill afford to lose even 1 more player.

That was impressive. He threw that 60 yards with ease. Gotta take the 15 yard penalty. Cant give a guy 6'8 with hands and leaping ability a chance.

Yes excellent point slick58 on taking the penalty - with no time left don't give him the opportunity in the end zone - a P.I. penalty would have been much preferred.

For those who have seen Serra more, do they usually run this much double wing?

Serra fumbles at the Cajon one yard line going in for a TD. Turnovers now at 3 apiece.

Cajon trails 14-7 with 939 left Q3 and the ball on its own one yard line

So Serra is going to just give the game away. Can't put this on the Refs. They're playing like they haven't been there before. Oh wait, they haven't.

4th and 5 from its own 35 and Cajon calls a QB run with Daniels to pick up it. Ball now in Serra territory

Daniels runs the option and keeps it for a 6 yard TD run to tie the game at 14 with 330 left Q3. 15 play, 99 yard drive for Cajon
