The Pacers are one win away from a third straight SJS title after beating St. Mary's-Stockton 28-21 in the SJS Division II semi-finals.

Grant gained control of the game with the running of Brandon Lambert behind a jumbo formation led by Roger Vanderhoef. After St. Mary's scored a touchdown to start the third quarter, Grant closed on a 14-0 run with the running game leading the way.

Both of St. Mary's touchdowns came when they started with the ball in Grant's red zone with the first coming off a bad punt snap by the Pacers.

St. Mary's junior Kenneth Moore III and sophomore Osani Gayles both showed off their big play potential with kickoff returns that gave the Rams the ball in the red zone.

Grant sophomore Koby Shabazz has gotten his fair share of attention, but the 2027 prospect is one of the top sophomores in the region. He made a number of contested catches on Friday and took a screen 59 yards for a touchdown.

Grant senior Jeremiah Tuiileila doesn't have ideal size for defensive end, but he is one of the best pass rushers in NorCal. He has a quick first step and can win going inside or racing around the edge. Tuiileila is a strong pickup for San Diego State.
