Grant last played Granada in 96 NorCal Championship at then Oakland Coliseum aka Oracle.
Grant won by 1 point sending the Pacers to there 1st State Final appearance.
Interesting was 96 Pacers coached by Del Paso Heights highly favored Coach Eric Satterwhite who was the first African American Boys basketball Coach in Sac Joaquin section history to coach a SJS Boys team to a NorCal and CIF state final appearance.

Granada beats Grant 59 - 51..rest assured Granada remembered 96.

You think? Those kids weren’t even born yet? Coaches now a days probably didn’t even know that history. I doubt it had any motivation.

Actually 2 of the Granada assistant coaches were at that championship game in 1996 and the players were told all about it. If there was any motivation it was not a revenge factor but rather to get a NorCal playoff victory for Granada for the first time since 1996.

Any details on the game last night? I had Grant as a heavy favorite

Wasn't sure if Granada's defense would be able to keep up. Matadors are legit! Inderkum will be a different animal tonight, but Gad can keep them in any game. Question is what production they get out of 6'11 junior McKeever. When he's on, they're unstoppable. Also really like #1 Mitchell. Very lengthy, explosive guard with surprisingly little basketball experience. Grew up playing soccer.
