In the ND Spring Game a couple months ago...
Starter QB Wimbush 22 of 32 for 303 yards 0 TDs, 2 INTs, 7 Sacks
QB Ian Book 17 of 22 for 277 yards 1 TD, 0 INTs, 0 Sacks

Ian has separated himself from the rest of the pack to be the back-up for the Irish this season. Wimbush has put his time in and will be the starter. Ian will have his opportunity at some point, maybe sooner than expected. I posted these stats to illustrate what Ian brings to the position, which is the ability to protect the ball and extend the play to make the play. He has done this since he was 10 years old.

Yup. He is the sort of kid every program wants. I watched some of that spring game on you tube. Kid looks good.

One of the guys I was wrong about. Thought he would stick at Notre Dame, but didn't think he would be in the mix as a starter during his career. Just a player who kept on getting better. Good for him.

Streak, I think the size and athleticism would make one believe he would struggle. I always thought arm strength he was actually stronger than browning. Not saying he was in his league but Book has a lot of tools. IQ and intangibles he's a 5 star.

I think that good old fashioned throwing ability is often overlooked these days. That kid could throw.
