Marin Catholic opts out of League title contention

Probably the right move as I think it's going to get dicey every year with certain MCAL programs not being able to field a team, thereby making scheduling more difficult for MC.

Keep in mind that MC is Div IV by enrollment with roughly 800 students, so their non-league scheduling is always ambitious. Same with St. Bernard's which is Div V by enrollment, so good for them as well scheduling up against MC.
 
In the SJS, the teams are moved up for playoffs based on prior results. See Central Catholic with a very small enrollment playing in the D2 playoffs.
 
I like this move for my Cats, it will keep them even more ready for playoffs and not fall into that lull they get into destroying the minnows of MCAL
 
Likely they did not communicate regarding the new start dates from the CIF. The CCS has always been the odd duck vs other sections. The two sections show different dates week 1 & 2 etc....
