Marin Catholic will still be apart of the Marin County Athletic League, but not eligible for a title, the school decided

Opponents for Marin Catholic this year, which should be young.

Probably the right move as I think it's going to get dicey every year with certain MCAL programs not being able to field a team, thereby making scheduling more difficult for MC.

Keep in mind that MC is Div IV by enrollment with roughly 800 students, so their non-league scheduling is always ambitious. Same with St. Bernard's which is Div V by enrollment, so good for them as well scheduling up against MC.

In the SJS, the teams are moved up for playoffs based on prior results. See Central Catholic with a very small enrollment playing in the D2 playoffs.

I like this move for my Cats, it will keep them even more ready for playoffs and not fall into that lull they get into destroying the minnows of MCAL

Privates' enrollment is less relevant to division placement given boundaries don't officially exist for them.

Marin Catholic's annual Week 2 matchup with St. Ignatius (San Francisco) has been temporarily halted due to miscommunication, but Moayed said he hopes the rivalry will resume next year.

That post I gave you was from an article from Marin Catholic website. I just checked st. Ignatius football schedule from their school website and it has the date open as well for September 7th

Likely they did not communicate regarding the new start dates from the CIF. The CCS has always been the odd duck vs other sections. The two sections show different dates week 1 & 2 etc....
