Folsom/Oakland Soldiers forward Mason Forbes committed to Harvard on Tuesday night.

He will join fellow Folsom alum Cole Thompson from the 2014 Football State Title Team.

This is awesome for the young man. Harvard is getting a steal with this kid from a purely basketball perspective! Mason realized college is a 40 year decision not a 4 year decision. Hard to pass up opportunities like this. Streak do you know if Stanford was in the mix at all?

Not sure how many people know this but Harvard asst coach Donny Guerinoni is a bay area native. Very good player at Analy HS in Sebastopol. He went on to play at Nevada and has been coaching at UNR, LSU, and Stanford. I saw him several times last year at games watching Forbes. Might be seeing more local kids get the call. Could be one of the highest recruits in Harvard history? I mean if he's not a 4 star kid I'm not sure who is..... Class family.
