Miami laterals 8 times on final kickoff to beat Duke

All they needed was a band on the field...

Wait, did I just say Stanford's unmusical mess was a band?? ;)

ACC has suspended the officiating crew for 2 games and rightfully so. Watson's knee was down game should have been over. Blatant illegal blocks in the back. Not to mention how can you have such a discrepancy in penalties between the two teams during a game?

Saw the play last night. Unreal. Plays like that are what make the game so much fun to watch. You never know what you are going to see or when you are going to see it.

New title of thread: "Miami Blocks In Back - Goes Down By Contact - Wins Anyhow - Refs Clueless!!" Its time someone steps up and gives Duke their just due.

As Steve Marrucci once said after he was told the NFL made a mistake for not calling pass interface in the last play of the 2003 NFC Wikcard game which Niners won .."Bummer". And that would've been the classic response for Miami for this game. Both teams are in the ACC, ACC officials and the officials stunk the entire game. 3 pass inteference calls that kept Duke last TD drive alive and the TD looked like the ball didn't cross the plane which would be game over, dukes fumble that wasn't, 23 penalties on Miami to 5 on duke. Apparently 23 was an ACC record. Their whole body of work in that game belonged in the toilet.

Number 34 duke guy had many opportunities to tackle multiple players with ball but he had no urgency, in fact most of duke players seemed like they were just watching. Play hard until the end. Reminded me of the "play". Stanford also complained the the player's knee was down too. But oh well....Bummer. Crazy college plays last three weeks.

Reminded me of the old Cal play against Stanford. Same issue with the knee being down. I remember watching that game in college.

Agreed, Duke was jogging around not tackling anyone.
