Huge kudos to the Monarchs for a stirring comeback 42-41 W on the road in OT against a unit that had not lost in two months. Few, if any of us, saw this coming back in August when the season began. Mitty, back then, was little more than a WCAL afterthought. No more. On to the CCS Division I finals next week vs. Salinas or Serra.

Goes to show that just about anything can happen in the playoffs. I figured Mitty might be a little soft for the Lancers, but they stepped up to the challenge.
Been to many many HS FB games over the past 50 years and have never seen a comeback like this. Down 21-6 at the half and 35-20 with less than 5 min to go, these kids and the coaching staff never gave up. So proud of this team!
