2. Granite Bay
3. Jesuit
4. Oak Ridge
5. Monterey Trail
6. Sheldon
7. Vacaville
8. Capital Christian
9. Whitney
10. Rocklin

With the injury to Lyons the gap between Folsom and the next 3 teams has greatly narrowed. Granite Bay especially is a program on the rise. Big game this weekend with Vacaville coming to Oak Ridge. Look for the Trojans to make a strong statement. Casey Taylor is back.

Not sure how CC can be in the top 10 when they quit in the middle of a game, I think Vanden is easily better then them
Agreed! Vanden is the Bakersfield of locations. Are they sac area or bay? If sac for sure.

I will say this. I would be shocked if Serra doesn’t beat Folsom Friday night. Serra line, QB, WR, and RB will be such a step up from MT and MT didn’t have that much trouble moving the ball, especially on the ground. On the other side, Serra will need to make Folsom QB use his feet. He’s great with time and he’s got a terrific arm, but he’s the least mobile QB since browning they’ve had.

Should be fun.

I think if you are going to include a team from a league, you should include the whole league. Just makes the list more complete IMO.

Team I'm most intrigued by on the list is Jesuit. They have some preseason hype like they do most years, but the overall talent seems to be lacking and they usually settle in lower than their preseason ranking

SFL since I know it the best.

Folsom is still my favorite but you don’t replace a kid like Lyons. Would not be surprised if GB or OR beats them. GB did it last year and I would argue is better this year.

Folsom
Granite Bay
OR
Whitney
Rocklin/DO

Rocklin could slide to bottom especially after losing LB. Whitney could have a QB controversy brewing as well.
Trevor Hargis looked very good.

Yeah they are not a top 10 team right now. Big issues at the qb position. They have a few guys in 30 day sits that may be able to help them down the road, but they are going to struggle with the teams they scheduled in non league games. Will be 0-3 headed into league play.

Maybe, maybe not regarding Serra (even though I picked the Padres in the pick'em). Folsom has a game under its belt, Serra does not. If Folsom has been able to make some adjustments this week, they could mayyyybe get past Serra if they have a good night. I'm still picking Serra, though...

That game Folsom played proved very costly with loss of Lyons for the year. It’s early and I get what you are saying but after watching Folsom play in person I was pretty disappointed with what I witnessed defensively. Offensively Folsom is a load as per usual.

I mostly agree with this order. It's early OR maybe the second. Rocklin needs to clean up the penalties something like 7, on offense last week. The shuffle they had to do on defense without Derek was herculean. It's early, can't peak week 1. 🙃
