Anyone have any information about other AAU programs other than Cal Stars? Would love to hear about where some of the other top NorCal girls are playing. Hard to find any information about the top girls players around. There is always a lot more information on the boys side. Does anyone have rosters for JBS, Cal Storm/Cal Storm Bay Area, CalSparks, Oakland Soldiers, Mustangs, etc? I see the Boo Williams EYBL is in Virginia this weekend, any NorCal girls playing for teams going to Virginia?

There are a good number of Nor Cal players playing on So Cal teams that will be at Boo Williams. Heres what I know, though I'm sure I'm missing some.

Cal Sparks Gold EYBL (SoCal)
RyAnne Walters Sac High
Andriana Avent Sac High
Anna Blount SMS
Daylee Dunn Odowd

Cal Sparks Black (SoCal)
Rebekah Brown Sac High
Muirae Gomes Sac High
Gabby Rones West Campus

Cal Sparks Blue (SoCal)
Heaven Mathis Sac High

West Coast Premier EYBL (SoCal)
Nailah Dillard

Team Taurasi
Kamryn Hall CKM
Bria Shine CBS
Hanna Beckman Folsom
Klara Astrom Pinewood

I've seen Taurasi and Sparks play each other (Sparks won by 44-33). Taurasi struggled to score consistently against Sparks and this could be a tough year for them. West Coast Premier with Dillard, Charisma Osborne and many others is loaded and will contend this year. Sparks will be good as they have a lot of experience along with some very talented good 8th graders on the roster. I believe a couple have offers from Power 5 conference schools.

Thanks kbrizzzle. Anyone have the rosters for JBS Gauntlet teams this year? Last year, had some pretty big names from the 2018 class. Not sure if the 2019 class will have the same.

JBS 2019 Gauntlet I

Arianna Spann - Antelope
Briana Juniel - Christian Bro
Jessica Miller - Red Bluff
Madison Tull - Gridley
Geneses Herrera - Vanden
Jordyn Rosette - Cosumnes Oaks
Jada James - Pleasant Grove
Jadyn Matthews - Enterprise
Chance Sims - Christian Bro
Kendal Jones - Cosumnes Oaks
Jasmine Hess - Cosumnes Oaks

Thanks Coach, good luck this weekend and all this season!

There are some other Elite teams with some top NorCal girls as well. Anyone have rosters for the YBA Elite teams? How about Sac Sting Platinum team? I see NorCal Dynasty has put together some good girls teams this year as well and competing in some good local tournaments. Cal Stars lower teams as well must have some good local talent, not just EYBL Elite team only. It would be great to keep up with how all the local girls are doing, any results from last weekend? Upcoming tournaments to keep an eye on?

Seems like Team Taurasi is off to a good start- won both games today in Virginia
Here are all of the Breakdowns for today’s games.

Game1. Game 2
Taurasi 60. Taurasi 64
Essence 51. Carolina 49

Cal Sparks 44. Cal Sparks 62
Miami Suns 54. Cal Stars. 83

WCP 48. WCP 62
Cy Fair. 51 Tennessee 64

Any updates to how these teams and girls have been doing? I would love to hear how the local girls are performing. Thanks.

The following players are expected to be at the 2018 USA Basketball Women’s U17 World Cup Team Trials. The trials go from May 24-28

Haley Jones Mitty
Ali Bamberger Carondelet
Daylee Dunn Bishop O'Dowd
Gabby Giuffre Aptos
Angel Jackson Salesian
Makayla Edwards Salesian
Rachel Harvey St. Ignatius
Liliana Marques Bradshaw Christian
Mia Mastrov Miramonte
Gabby Rones West Campus

List of invited is 35

Thirty-Five Athletes Accept Invitations to USA Women’s U17 World Cup Team Trials

It was possible for athletes who did not receive an invitation to participate in trials by submitting an application by April 3. Due to space limitations, a maximum of 115 applicant athletes will be permitted to attend trials, as determined by the USA Basketball Developmental National Team Committee. Athletes will be notified of the committee’s decision to attend trials by April 13, and the complete trials roster will be announced in late April.

They have 172 this year, up from around 135 in the past. I'm not going this year, but I would expect Haley Jones to make the team, and Angel Jackson -- who did some nice things last year -- to be around until late in the process.

Some of the players I don't know, so I'll just say that Ali Bamberger probably has a good chance to last until Sunday (they cut as the camp goes on).

Getting to the final 12 is an unbelievable achievement when you consider they invite 35 that they think are serious candidates, and they expect the final 12 to come from that group. But girls emerge every year, and sometimes fight their way onto the roster with four days of excellence.

Natalie Moulos (Del Oro HS 2021)

Team Taurasi lost a heartbreaker in the NIKE national championship game losing on a shot at the buzzer in front of a packed house.
After reading the initial comments on this thread I guess they started off slow and finished strong.
Anybody have a take on the game?
Who played well?
I've heard that Kam Hall was getting it done. If true that's good...Ive always thought she was a studette and underrated as she doesn't pass the eye test. So good for her!
