Different way of doing picks. Tried to find the best chance for a road team to win on Tuesday from each division.

Division I: 9 SRV over 8 McClatchy (very tough choice, but SRV has the best chance if they shoot it well)

Division II: 16 Bradshaw over 1 Menlo

Division III: 13 West Campus over 4 Seaside

Division IV: 10 Colfax over 7 Foothill

Division V: 9 University over 8 Notre Dame

How do you like Menlo being ranked lower than Pres and SF in Norcal but getting the higher seed in ccs! Hah! Hilarious! Tells you the politics of ccs.

I'm sure Paye is not complaining now....

In D IV the #14 seed Amador Valley will be a tough road team to deal with. I have not seen Lowell play this season but AV has good Senior leadership and played a tough schedule.
SJND has a tough draw, hard to believe that even with their loss to BOD that MM was not placed in the Open.
Good luck to everyone who has earned their way to this point, some great games coming this week.

Menlo has more than enough to handle BC fairly nicely at home. If it's even close late it will be something of a surprise.

Amador Valley Wins D4 as a 14 seed.
LOL I think you may be right on that one but I wouldn't count out Piedmont. they're also a senior laden team that plays well together. But if they get past them, I think they have a great shot at state...HOW is AV a 14 seed in D4? They were semifinals in D1, co-league champs in EBAL south. I really don't get it.

Piedmont is second best team in the bracket. That second round game could be the best game of that division. Committee must have gotten lazy after first 3 brackets.

It was a tough night for the road team, especially traveling due to the poor weather. None of these road teams won. Biggest surprise was West Campus losing.

Not really. Watched West Campus lose by 25 to Esperanza in December. Total lack of defense and focus. Looked like they didn't want to be there. And Esperanza had traveled 400 miles to play the game. Go figure.

Let's put things in perspective. Chalk it up to a bad game for W.C. in your instance, especially early in the season (December). West Campus just won their third consecutive SJS division title last week, and is the two-time consecutive state CIF champion in their division. Have to be pretty good to do that. Esperanza and Seaside can't say that. Doesn't sound like W.C. is a poor team to me.

You shoot darts, some miss the mark or in my case the board.

A surprise that they were ahead 19-18 after the 1st quarter, or that they lost by 27? That was a tough game for SRV and really I don’t know how many people really expected they would win. McClatchy has some nice wins this year and had been mentioned many times on here as a potential Open team, whereas I don’t think anyone thought of SRV as an Open team.

Had there been 8 teams put into the Open, then SRV becomes a #7 seed and hosts what would them become the #10 seed SI, a much better draw for them and a home game.

Without seeing the game, I would think McClatchy was able to play physical and that really bothered SRV. Wolves needed a free flowing game to win.

And you can have a physical, well officiated game too.

You hit the nail on the head. You can have a physichal well officiated game. In the St. Mary's game there were some key players in foul trouble the whole game so it never felt like we got to see that matchup play out.

SRV played a helluva game. At this stage of the season I say ignore the seedings every team still standing can play this game at a high level. Traveling a long distance to play in a foreign gym with hostile crowd is tough.

CKM was too big, too strong, too fast, and too physical for the SRV girls. CKM is an elite team that defends at the highest level. SRV has nothing to be ashamed of they played hard and had a really fun season in which the community rallied behind them.

SRV has nothing to be ashamed of at all. It was a great season for them. Hopefully, they will expand their schedule next year to include some top flight teams in order to prepare for the tough post season they will undoubtedly face, as they have the opportunity for some special teams these next few years.

Those girls could shoot the light out. What grade is #22? How bout the PG?

I love her game. Hope to see them play next season

Senior Claire Pasco (#22) has a sister, Natalie (#32), who is a frosh on the team and also a shooter.

Junior point guard Paige Gerhart (#12) is ending the season with a bunch of honors including first team all league (EBAL), league MVP, and Cal Hi Sports 2019 North Coast Section Winter Sports Scholar-Athlete of the Year. So you're not the only one who likes her game. :)
