Big news.. coach cavaliere announced retirement after a long and highly successful career at Oak Ridge. This was a tough year on everybody, especially teachers and coaches.
congrats on a great career and class act program.

The full-time teacher/coach. A breed that was once par for the course at schools throughout CA. Not so much anymore. Walk-ons and part-timers are now the norm in prep athletic programs. It's not a shock, really. When you add in the mandator Title 9 need for coaches for female sports, you basically double the coaching roster at coed high schools. But on-campus head football coaches are absolutely vital if a program is going to have any serious long-term success, or even reasonably modest success _ and that includes behavior and eligibility issues.
