Great hire. Awesome pedigree. Newman will always attract kids and the school has invested tens of millions in facility upgrades. If it’s a choice of going to newman or Windsor I still think kids choose newman in long run. Overall Private schools have much easier route to sustain strong programs vs publics. Just a fact.

It fills a lot of question marks. As a smaller private school you traditionally don't get a lot of size. He has had to deal with that at St Augustine and won championships. Rocky Long's defenses have been hard to crack. Not sure that equates at the high school level, however, again successful against schools with larger bodies and more stars. The coaches couldn't be more different from a personality standpoint but both will rely on execution. Also, true that due to fire the campus is under going a complete transformation that will be like a mini-college. Newman will always attract kids that will show up, give effort and work hard. That is probably the most undervalued asset at the school.
