Pinewood played very well - especially offensively (17-31 from behind the arc) - and if seeding holds (as expected), then the matchup in the final should be quite compelling.Very nice first quarter for Paly. But Pinewood's speed is just too much.
End of 1 Pinewood 24 Palo Alto 14
It's comedy. They not only make their girls wear them but the opponent as well. It's beyond ridiculous at this point. I haven't really seen that at any other school this year.Pinewood played very well - especially offensively (17-31 from behind the arc) - and if seeding holds (as expected), then the matchup in the final should be quite compelling.
One complaint about Pinewood (nothing to do with the team): the Covid-related restrictions are just ridiculous. Attendance limit (40 total) is unwarranted; but even worse, some Pinewood Covid Nazi was trolling the sidelines and harping on the players to wear their masks over both mouth and nose. It was (and is) a ridiculous requirement at this stage of the pandemic - and one that Paly had not seen before in 20 games this season. Indeed, is there any similar requirement anywhere now?
Saint Ignatius, be ready for that. You may want to practice/scrimmage fully masked to get used to it. Or better yet, the Covid Nazi should be more reasonable in the semis and dump the full-mask requirement. In this vaccinated county (with most rosters fully vaccinated, too), it's unnecessary. Really.
