GAME OF TE WEEK
Freedom 5-1 at Antioch 5-1..While Freedom was falling apart in the fourth quarter against Pittsburg, it was Antioch who pulled off the surprise by upsetting Heritage.
THE PICK.....Antioch 38 Freedom 34.....There is something missing at Freedom which could have made the difference in the Pittsburg.....What ever it is, it has to show up against Antioch. In the preseason, Antioch didn't seem to provide that dangerous looking team...But it came out against Heritage who I thought for sure would win.
The Panthers have a very good QB, plenty of speed that can hit you on the ground as well as in the air...their defense made a statement which gives them very good balance.
Freedom has all the tools mentioned above, so its going to be a case of who outsmarts who.
BIG GAMES
Jesuit 4-2 AT Sheldon 5-1..The pick.....Sheldon 33 Jesuit 21.....Both teams are high geared, but who strikes first and often will win..
Miramonte 5-1 at Campolindo 4-2.....The Pick...Camolindo 27 Miramonte 21.....Back yard battles present different outcomes...Both have the running and the passing...A tough defense will win this game..
Berean Christian 2-3 at Alhambra 4-2.....The Pick.....Berean Christian 35 Alhambra 24.....This is a must win for both teams as both still have to face College Park and North Gate....The Bulldog pass defense will be their undoing, their only hope is to start their second string QB which will give them balance on the ground ad in the air.
DLS 6-1 at Foothill 4-2....The Pick.....DLS 40 Foothill 14 with a great QB in Woolridge, it just isn't enough for the Falcons.

Next year...The leagues will be realliged, so what becomes of CVC, the ugly eagles don't have a challenge in the league and there future looks more powerful...they have no business in the Diablo-Foothill league...
