Come on no predictions for NorCal seedings?

Im curious if both Folsom and OR get pulled into open? There really isn’t much that separates the 2. (Except OR has brown). What a great game that was. I know Folsom Struggled shooting and that lastl shot looked like could have been foul. But OR d was so good in 2nd.

I think that OR beating Folsom complicated things. A Folsom win probably put Folsom and St Mary’s in the Open. Now?

Folsom - Why should NCS always carry the burden of sending 3 teams.

Salesian would go ahead of SMS as they have a h2h win over them. The final spot in the OPEN comes down to Salesian or Vanden. The other 7 are pretty much set and CW smoked Oakridge earlier in the season so CW will be seeded above them.

I think the seedings are pretty clear based on h2h results.

4.OR
5.PW
6. Folsom (win over Salesian)
7.SRV (win over Salesian)
8.Salesian

6 and 7 could be flip flopped. Depends on what the committee is looking for. I"ll put Folsom 6 because they are so highly ranked by Max Preps and the committee so often takes that into consideration. But if 6 and 7 are reversed I'd have no problem with that.

Salesian has loses to Mitty, Folsom & SRV so I’d think that would keep them out of the Open. But like I wrote earlier NCS always sends 3.

If the CIF throws a curveball and doesn't go 8 in the Open that would really shake things up. Im thinking it will be 8 cause it's so wide open but who knows...

Due to the big population/total schools advantage the South possesses, it would make sense to go with a NorCal Open six to preserve two strong northern units for the equity brackets. It's a case of self-interest for the North's greater good when it comes to competing vs. the South. Heck, the Southern Section, by itself, has more schools than all of the NorCal schools combined.

thats fair... I would personally be ok with a 6 team NorCal OPEN every year. I wish the CIF would just come out and make a permanent decision rather than 8 one year, 6 the next, 5 the next and then ???
