I know they get a lot of hate on here but I want to wish good luck to Prolific Prep as they face the No 1 HS team in the nation Sunrise Academy (KS).

There are four great games today. As I type this Link Academy (Beat PP 2x) is facing Oak Hill.

Will be fun to see Zion Sensley play today on ESPN.

That kid Walsh for Link is special.

Can’t wait to see him in GI Jane 2……just kidding.

Arkansas had a heck of a recruiting class coming in including Walsh. Looking like Duke will have the No 1 class but Arkansas not very far behind!

btw, I wonder if PP's big UCLA-bound kid, Adem Bona, will be able to play. He was on the bench with an injury for the McDonald's All-American game the other night... Don't have any idea whether he was holding out for the Geico event, or if it was more serious.

Good one on Walsh... Looking at his game, he won't be needing any protection from Will Smith.. :)

and people wonder why a player would want to play at pp. you playing in a national tourney on espn or you play at a local high school tournament versus inferior comp.

Really interested to see how Mor Seck does the rest of this game. He is essentially playing Bona’s minutes.

Also zion Sensley looks really sharp early.

I know this question has been asked but if both those guys stayed at riordan I wonder how far riordan would have gone. I personally think they would have lost to centennial but beaten almost everyone else.

Rosebourugh getting some PT now.

Crazy to think he was at Sac High at the beginning of this season

Sunrise scores, is fouled... FT try does NOT go! Tied at 56.

26.7 left, PP ball...

Pass to Sensely on the wing... Takes a 3.... BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! 59-56 PP with about 6 seconds left...

Congrats. They played a helluva game. I hate the program, but Mor Seck showed tremendous improvement and Zion Sensley did a great job.

aa, we have a fundamental disagreement as to what the high school years are supposed to be about. And I guarantee you we have the same disagreement as to what the college years are supposed to be about, too.

all things are not created equal. i went to a high school that was dangerous, the 11 blocks to get there were dangerous, half the student body was dangerous and leaving the gym after games was dangerous. i couldnt hang out with kids from school, or even on my porch. the only thing i had was basketball. what i would do to go to a school where all i had to do was worry about school and basketball. prolific is an outlet. sure jordan from oakley doesnt have those issues i had at public school, but he is leaps and bounds better by being in a better situation. i had to get better by playing leimert park which was not easy or safe. the things i would do to be living on campus and have the keys to a gym whenever.

One could only imagine how this year's Riordan team would have fared had Sensley and Seck stayed. They would have had a great shot not only at the NorCal Open title, but the State Open Title. MC's bigs gave Campo trouble with their length and also held their own held against Centennial. Would have loved to see the match up of Sensley and Phillips. Bittersweet, but no hard feelings. Seck was at Campo pulling for his former teammates and even giving Pasanisi pointers...Happy for both players. Great game by Pope and White filling the scoring void of PP's two injured McDonalds' All-Americans.

They actually played Campo last season with both those players on the roster, and Campo beat them 46-38 at Riordan. It was pretty much the same Campo roster that played this season, but a year older and more experienced.

Vaihola and Wilhite did not play against Campolindo last year. Riordan best Campo the year before at Gridley.

That was a different Riordan and Campo team, and Vaihola was not on their roster this year. My point was the 2 PP players were on the team just last season.

Did TurtleLove really give us CREDIT!!! I must of read it wrong. Maybe it was a backhanded comment. We will take it. As for his idiotic comment that teams declined the invite is completely laughable! Nobody turned it down. The Prolific brand and ESPN have a very strong relationship. Brands and STARS make television. It is what it is. ESPN made the correct choice.

Great game by our guys, especially when two of the better players were hurt. The only thing we guarantee at Prolific Prep is a platform elite schedule, and major development options (Strength and conditioning and skill training). Those that take advantage of it prosper.

Just a few months ago, Mor Seck was playing 4-5 minutes a game. Why? He wasn't prepared to play at this level. He packed his bags and was ready to quit. He stuck it out and trusted the system and kept working against future Lottery Pick Adem Bona. A couple of injuries later, and Mor Seck has started the last 8 games. Mor not only matured, but his game is taking off. His timing and coordination is improving and he will be rewarded. He will pick up at least 5 offers are this Event (our phones are ringing like crazy just for him). Mor Seck is a very uplifting and positive story. There is no microwave in basketball and there definitely isn't at PP. You either sink or swim here and we don't apologize for that. This isn't built for everyone.

Zion Sensley made a huge shot! We call them "At Bats". He just elevated himself to a new level with National Media. That is what the platform can do. Congrats to Zion (15 years of age), but he needs to work triple next few years to hit that status he wishes to join.

Jordan Pope grew up at PP. Polished (just watch his interview). He has been in wars (ups and downs) and battle tested. I have no clue where he played high school but JP career and life path is heading in a great direction. Very happy for him.

Both of these guys are battling everyday against McDonalds All Americans and top 30 type players. That is where development happens.

People forget we played Centennial (State Champ) at the Border League in October and were up 28 pts in the second half before shutting it down. We had 1.5 weeks of practice before that game!!. It's very hard to compare CIF to GEICO level. But its fun to talk about it I guess, but those that are in it, know the real.

My point is that Wilhite was Riordan’s leading scorer as a sophomore last season. Campo would not have been able to double team him as they did this year and most of their drives to the basket would have been altered or blocked like MC did to the Cougars.

I think Riordan would have been a handful for any team. You gotta remember guys like the big kid and Pusateri would have come off the bench. KJW would have had Zion and Seck to take pressure off of him.

Overall this should be an exciting day for all Bay Area basketball fans. The two best kids on Riordan literally were the keys to Prolifics’s victory over the No 1 Prep school in America.

Jordan Pope is the most underrated high school basketball player in America. I believe he played 3 or maybe even all 4 years at PP. That is extremely rare and the seasoning he has was evident during the beating he put on Sunrise Christian.

Oregon St. Got themselves a steal.

Mor Seck has been terrific... I'm sure his play has attracted the eyeballs of a lot of scouts...

Semi's on now... They are playing Link Academy. 7-5 Link early on...
