Amador Valley with an 86-yard interception return (2-point conversion failed) and the Dons are in total control, leading Bishop O'Dowd 36-12. Looks like AV may be headed to their first-ever NCS football championship. 9:05 left in the 4th quarter.

Amador Valley with a 4-yard TD run and 2-point conversion no good. Only 2:20 left in the game and AV leading Bishop O'Dowd 42-18. AV getting ready to celebrate an NCS Football Championship! Congratulations to the Dons.

Some great games tonight!

Rocklin impressed, but some amazing catches by the Grant receivers were too much in the end.

Mater Dei finally getting tested but hold on for a 7 point win. 31-24 over Bosco

Grant’s super sophomores Zo Edwards and Koby Shabazz made some very tough catches down the stretch. Big time plays from the young Pacers. Rocklin was right there. What a game.
Those WR have a chance to be playing at a much higher level down the road. Incredible game.
It's good to see Grant back to doing what they do. And hats off to Rocklin for playing an amazing game.

I watched some of the Pitt vs SRV game and I wasn't that impressed with Pitt's D. SRV had no issues moving the ball. The pick in frist half when they were on the 3 killed them. They had some other plays too but it was a winnable game.
In fact Newman defended much better overall although conditions were much diff.

Agree, not a very good defensive effort by Pitt. Nice play calling and great effort from the SRV running backs all night. SRV actually had another interception inside the Pitt 10 as well.

Yeah agree. I think Folsom destroys that team.

Man crazy game! Big plays on both sides, but Grant came through in the clutch!
Big..
Yes sir, those 2 catches on the last drive were absolutely clutch!

Shabazz with the acrobatic catch on the sideline. Somehow he climbs the ladder, weirdly twisting his body, clutching the ball at its high point, and then going to into limp mode as he somehow awkwardly falls to the ground still in bounds. With the Rocklin defender all over him in great position!

That was the catch of the game... Well, almost!

Moments later, with time ticking away, Alexander catches the snap, adjust the ball in his right hand, cocks his arm back, swings his arm forward while slowly releasing the ball with a slight flicker of his wrist at the end of his release to get that perfect spin on the ball that QB coaches love.

I instantly yell at the screen, WTF kind of throw was that!!! This isn't the time to look cute, you put too much air under it, now its gonna get picked!

As the ball travels through the air, with the camera man tracking it, as it starts it's decent, I notice the Grant receiver Zo come into the frame. He is being smothered by the Rocklin defender, who is in perfect trail position. The ball looks a bit under thrown and out of bounds. The defender is in perfect position to make a play on the ball. Zo somehow with all of his momentum going forward, stops of a dime, jumps up in the air, spins his body around, extends his arms over the defender, and then down, and then snatches the ball out of the air before it could land a yard or two out of bounds. He had to use every bit of his 6"6 frame to secure that catch.

Idk how he was able to catch that ball. It was all in slow motion to me. I need to see the replay to see if I even explained it right.

kudos to rocklin .... they played a great game ...
I agree! The played hard and physical in the trenches. Throughout the game, mainly in the second half, the defense basically took away the run.

They were well coached, in the right position all night, and never got flustered, even when they went down by 10.

On a side note, I think the announcers from the NFHS did a great job as well calling the play by play. They had some good energy coming from the booth.

Finally, good job by the refs. The game was decided on the field
