Rocklin future looks good with 4 underclass starting. If OR shoots it well from 3 I like them to prevail.

74-66. #50 6”6 fresh for rocklin laverenov is going to be a beast.


Like I said in another post. OR is not a top 10 team in any poll. They played a cupcake schedule and are 1-4 in last 5 against decent comp.

Rocklin Frosh and Soph class is loaded with basketball talent…it’s been a treat to watch this young group grow up right in front of us. While OR may not be “top 10 in any poll” any win on the road in the SFL is a good win.

my point about OR is they loaded schedule with really bad teams until they went to sdg and now they are going to be challenged. I still say Folsom and Whitney top 2 and then maybe rocklin now. But gap is small.

I’ve seen a handful of there games in person. Bellarmine win complete mystery. OR will have a hard time going .500 in a league way down. Folsom’s worse team in years. (Maybe decade) Rocklin is down but super young. Whitney is pretty solid and rest of pack is average. Pondo is the cheese off 50 like I’ve said all year and they don’t have 6”5 manfredi from OR. If he ever gets eligible that is a legit state champ caliber team.

So far I stand my ground with Folsom and Whitney as the top dogs. Folsom beats Rocklin by 15 and Whitney drops DO by 19 to improve too 2-0. Oak ridge beat Granite Bay comfortably (think by 18) to go 1-1.

Folsom dropped OR before a sold out crowd 47-37. Yup, peeps can still enjoy games in person the way it should be. Gyms were meant to be full on Friday night.
Folsom improves to 4-0 in SFL and OR drops 3-2. Pretty sloppy/ugly game.
Whitney knocked of Rocklin 70-59 in cross town. Rival. Good win for the wildcats who improved to 3-2.
And lastly the battle for 5th was won by granite bay with 68-58 w over Del oro.

Pondo is the real deal. Are they going to win a layup line contest? No. They’ve beaten the top teams in the SFL bad this year. They gave Folsom there worse loss in 6 years. Nothing wrong with escaping with a win against a good Burbank team. Great teams find ways to win.
The 6”5 transfer from OR won’t be eligible this year. With him they were a state champ caliber d2 team. Without him expect a deep playoff run.
They have the most under the radar player in norcal. 6”10 Aaron Bliss. Nobody in norcal has any big man as versatile.

Folsom is down but it’s not like they are bad.

Remember, don’t discount chemistry. Pondo isn’t any aau team that joined up 2 weeks ago. These kids grew up playing with each other.

With the way the state playoffs are run now, I don’t think you can discount any “good team” from winning a “state championship”. The Open or D1 would be next to impossible, but if they end up as a high seed in D2 or God forbid D3, they’d have as good a chance as any other team that didn’t get picked for the Open or D1.

I’m not saying they are winning the open or d1. That’s crazy. Trust me as a d2 or d3 school they will be in the mix. They are that good and that is where they belong.

SFL is probably better in baseball than football. Absolute factory.
