Mitty's relentless press is making life miserable for Priory. Monarchs lead 30-9 half way thru the second quarter. Priory appears to have only six players (with only five playing)

Really tough matchup for pinewood. Size and length will be an issue. I'd like to see them win but my prediction is Mitty favored by 10 to 12

These are essentially the same two teams that met in the finals last year. In 2020, Mitty routed Pinewood, 76-44. This one won't be nearly as easy.

Pinewood added Elle Ladine, who has really started to make a difference for them and whose size will be a big help against Mitty. When Pinewood is hitting shots, as they have been recently, it is poetry. The defense never takes a possession off. And they have been dreaming of this game for 16 months.

Mitty added their terrific freshman point guard, Morgan Cheli. When they press/trap, it feels like they have an extra player on the floor. They create so many live ball turnovers and get so many second chance points that it almost doesn't matter if they're hitting their outside shots. Almost...as St. Mary's showed.

Brain says Mitty by 10. But I wouldn't mind seeing another triple overtime game.
