Soquel ends Aptos’s league winning streak

Aptos had won 26 in a row before a 52-42 loss to Soquel.

This result is one more reason the CCS Open Division should be an all-private/parochial affair in 2019. Aptos would have been a prime public possibility for an Open slot. No more.

D3 with SSF, Mills, Soquel, Aptos, Saratoga should be decent.

At this point, they don't have to worry about the Open.

For a nanosecond, Palo Alto got some CCS Open consideration. Nope. Sorry. Losses to Aptos and Los Altos make that option a no-no. So, right now, the Open may wind up being: Mitty, Pinewood, Menlo School, Eastside Prep, St. Francis, Presentation, Valley Christian and either St. Ignatius or SHC.

I’d say SI is in. last spot could be down to SF/SHC. Whoever wins the last matchup.
