The once-dominant South San Francisco High School football program is searching for a new head coach. Again. The most recent walk-on mentor, Dion Evans, announced his departure (or lack of a re-hire) via Twitter this week. The Warriors' program has fallen so far in recent years that a varsity could not be fielded in fall 2021. Interest in the student body is minimal. The JV team, with Evans as the boss, won one game. Now the question becomes: Will SSF be able to field a varsity in 2022? The signs are not encouraging.
