Stanford, Arizona make College World Series

Two Pac-12 teams are headed to Omaha with local players on both rosters. Stanford was especially impressive against Texas Tech.

Also, Griff McGarry (Menlo) kept Virginia alive with a strong outing on Sunday against Dallas Baptist.

Palma grad Danny Carnazzo is headed to the CWS with North Carolina State.

Stanford's coach who was in my younger brother's class and friend. Knew him as a teen and played some ball with him although he is 4 years younger. He had incredible range at short stop even at a young age. He and Jeff Kent were instrumental in saving the Cal program before he left to coach Stanford.
