Started feeling bad during the last game last night…. Took temp, slight fever…. I practically NEVER get fevers, even when otherwise sick.

Anyone who was near me in the stands for any extended period during the Torrey Pines event, GET TESTED.

I have no idea whether I’ve got the rona, but BE SAFE.

I’m getting tested at Kaiser on Wednesday, hope it’s just the flu or something….

Always a treat to follow the play-by-play stylings of any HS hoops game you cover.

Regarding the Torrey Pines tournament. It's too bad Campo lost their first game against a quality opponent. The 3 remaining games the tournament organizers were forced to schedule against the Cougars were necessarily a huge letdown for a program that is looking to play the best the state has to offer.

The good news is the Diablo Athletic League may be one of the top leagues in Nor Cal this season with Northgate, CVC & Miramonte having quality teams. Looking forward to next week!

CVC v Campo will be excellent. I also need to check out the Miramonte v Campo rivalry as I just moved to Orinda last year so I am interested in checking out that rivalry big-time.

Mikey, you won’tbe disappointed in Campo v Mira. Terrific atmosphere with fun 6th man insults going, but they’re friends after the game!
 
Meanwhile…. I have time to post in here during my trip home, because everyone else in SoCal decided to avoid the snowy Grapevine…. And proceeded to all drive into each other. Total mess!

Meanwhile, I see that the Cougs beat St. Mary’s 64-59, with Aidan scoring 23. 🙂🙂

Fever was gone this morning, btw. Super-temporary fever, I guess…

Meanwhile, with the incredibly horrible traffic…. I managed to make it to freaking Santa Maria by a few minutes after 8. Almost 10 hours for 250 miles…. Eek.
 
I looked again and see I misread the Campo score. Campo still won, but it was 10 points lower at 54-49.

and come on now, Covid ain’t a common cold.
 
Gorman ended up winning the title game over Faith Family. by the score of 80-73.

Got home after finally finding one of those home Covid tests... POSITIVE. :(

Guess I'll be watching games online for a bit...
 
Common Cold?? Just checking several medical web sites I see the U.S. 7- daily average of deaths in U.S. due to Omicron variant is 1338 deaths PER DAY to Jan. 3rd & record numbner of children hospitalized. Was I the only one to notice that even Trump is telling people to go get boosted? - please doubters & misinformation posters listen to your leader since everything he says is true .... ;)

BTW to clarify my post I currently have a family member just recovering from being quite ill from this latest variant and it is by no means a "common cold" for those it severely effects. Be safe everyone.
