Just watched Torrey Pines blast Coronado (the San Diego one, not the Nevada one) by about 40…

Now it’s time for the Campolino Cougars to take on Mira Costa…. Long wait due to a running-clock quickie before.

I’m thinking the Cougs should win fairly handily, but ya never know until they play…

And he nails another from the wing off an Aidane pass…. 6-0, Mira Costa time out.

Naffziger nails a 3 off an Aidan pass… 12-3.

Cade rebounds a miss, goes coast to coast, fouled on a missed layup…. FT’s good. 17-3.

Mira Costa finally breaks the run. 17-5.

And they get a 10-second violation.

MIra’s #24 with a nice move…. 17-7, and the press works again. 1:51 left 1st.

Aidan goes back in, and right away he assists on a Cade 3. 20-7.

Score after a quarter, Cougs lead 22-12.

Baseline inbounds to Mahaney Airlines for an easy one…. 24-13.

Steal, Cade takes it inside, scores, fouled…. 26-12. FT good.

Aidan with a nifty move or three… short shot no, but he rebounds the miss and scores. Mira answers, but Aidan with another bunch of moves and a score. 31-14. 5:27 left in the half.

Took a lunch break, got back to find St. Mary’s Phoenix in a dogfight with San Ysidro. They lead 65-61 early in the 4th quarter.

It’s raining fairly heavily, so Idecided not to bring in my keyboard and program, so updates will be very light tonight. Parking is far far away, too.

“Thanks” to the virus, things are fluid, but it looks like if Northgate can win here, two DFAL teams will take each other on for 5th place.

I still don’t have any real idea how good Northgate is…. I hadn’t seen them play until yesterday when they were badly outmanned by Bishop Gorman…. And their undefeated previous record hadn’t exactly been achieved against powerhouses. Guess I’ll have a better idea in a couple hours…
