With Tom Brady (again) and Jared Goff both playing in this year's Super Bowl, QBs that went to high school in Northern California will have started in 18 of the 53 Super Bowls, or over one in every three, with 19 QBs overall. Compare that to Texas, which have had two, or Florida, which have had none!

From a SoCal guy, I have to say, pretty impressive, NorCal!

The list:

1. 1968: Daryle Lamonica (Clovis)

2. 1971: Craig Morton (Campbell)

3. 1978: Craig Morton (Campbell)

4. 1981: Jim Plunkett (San Jose)

5. 1984: Jim Plunkett (San Jose)

6. 1986: Tony Eason (Walnut Grove)

7. 2001: Trent Dilfer (Aptos)

8. 2002: Tom Brady (San Mateo)

9. 2004: Tom Brady (San Mateo)

10. 2005: Tom Brady (San Mateo)

11. 2008 Tom Brady (San Mateo)

12. 2011 Aaron Rodgers (Chico)

13. 2012: Tom Brady (San Mateo)

14. 2013: Colin Kaepernick (Turlock)

15. 2015: Tom Brady (San Mateo)

16. 2017: Tom Brady (San Mateo)

17. 2018: Tom Brady (San Mateo)

18. 2019: Tom Brady (San Mateo)

19. 2019: Jared Goff (Novato)

And when you add in the other QB's with Northern California ties such as Joe Kapp, Cal and John Elway, Stanfurd it becomes even more impressive. Kapp played in Super Bowl IV while Elway played in 5 Super Bowls.

It’s not “19 QBs” it’s “9” which is a huge difference. Either way 9 is impressive as well.
