March 2 Scores

Menlo 48
Shasta 38

It was Menlo's pressure that was the difference. Sat in a high 2-3 and Shasta couldn't hit their shots

What should be the ruling in a situation like this. There is no shot clock to tell if the shot was released in time. Yet no one can say it wasn't. I think they just compromised and gave them a two and a chance to win in over time. I don't know what the ruling should have been in a situation like that.

I do rememember a college game between Duke and ND in Jamaica where they did not have a shot clock visible and it was obvious that ND took much more time than was left at the time out and scored and they were given the win. It appeared in that case if no visible shot clock the offense gets the benefit of the doubt. When you count the seconds off the tape it appears they might have gotten it off in time. They could have gone back and timed the shot of the video and decided it one way or the other. That would have been the best way to go.
