Please help me understand the thought process of determining the #1 seed in Division 4….
The VVAL had the #3, #4 and #8 teams in NCS D2. Justin-Siena did lose to each of those teams during the season but beat Casa Grande and Petaluma in the league tournament, beating Petaluma to win the championship Friday night(Petaluma was the league champion 11-1 and JSHS beat them 2x including the championship game). Justin was 9-0 versus D4, all other games versus higher division teams.
The Big 5 had the #9 seed in NCS Division 3 and the #11 and #13 seeds in Division 4. Arcata lost once to Eureka(#9 D3)and to Fortuna(#11 D4). They were the league champions and won their tournament.
My confusion comes with how they ranked other teams in the VVAL versus how the Big 5 teams were ranked in their NCS Divisions,
Please let me know what I’m missing …
