Oakmont's posted schedule is a SJS heavy lineup including Folsom, Granite Bay, Cosumnes Oaks and Woodcreek. It won the Foothill Valley League by four games last year, but Lincoln could pose the biggest threat to a title repeat.
Takeaway:
No player shot up the pecking order this summer like TJ Nichols, who got up to 96 MPH on the mound after turning in one of the top two-way seasons as a junior. Blatnick is a very good catcher and Kai Peterson returns after going 9-1 with a sub one ERA. It will be hard for Oakmont to match last year's season, but don't expect too much of a dropoff.
