Hello Varsity Coaches,

Unfortunately, we just found out that Madison Park is no longer fielding a team this season and we are looking to fill 1 game on Saturday January 13th.

The game is at noon at Bishop O’Dowd against Edison HS (Stockton).

If you’re interested and have a game to fill, we would love to have you participate in this special event.

Wow What a game. Probably the most physical and poorly officiated game I’ve seen in a long time. It’s overtime now, but O’Dowd was given the ball with .02 seconds left I’m the game (O’Dowd had the ball inbounding) and windward calls a time out. Now I’m no ref but as soon as offensive possession is established, defense can’t call a timeout-yet it’s granted.

There was a descrepancy and apparently windward didn’t have any TO left. So O’Dowd shot two FT and got the ball back.

Little did the windward coach know that you can’t catch and shoot with .02 seconds left (only a tip). She may have cost her team the game.

O’Dowd down 5 not fouling with 35 seconds left. O’Dowd coach told team to get back in a zone???? They get ball back, score on a put back and NO time out called-another 6 seconds wasted. O'dowd finally fouls. Windward goes up 71-77. O’Dowd gets ball kid trips on the ground (no time out called again), gets up and travels. Should have called TO.

Final 77-71 what a great game by both teams, but two big coaching mistakes by both sides. O’Dowd: not fouling and dropping into a zone down by 5 (really what was the coach thinking????), no time out calls in two dire situations and Windward coach for not knowing player can’t catch and shoot with .02 seconds left.

Osborne for Windward is the real deal! Fun player to watch! BOD is VERY physical but very turnover prone.
